External Landing Screen Media

YQueue Kiosk supports loading external media files on the splash/landing screen for special occasions, such as birthdays or corporate events.

The application will scan all external media devices (USB drives, SD cards etc.) on startup and copy the first file that matches the below naming convention to temporary storage:

• kioskbackground.mp4
• kioskbackground.jpeg
• kioskbackground.jpg
• kioskbackground.png

The custom media will be used for the duration of the current session - to reset the kiosk to the splash screen that is configured in the merchant console, simply restart the kiosk with the external media disconnected.

If required, you can remove the external media after the splash screen is initially displayed (as the matched file is copied to temporary storage).
